I disagree with this CNBC article saying gold this year should rally

(i) The US economy is growing while Europe is stagnated and (ii) borrowing in USD and investing in emerging markets (which happened so far because investors searched for yield elsewhere) will reverse as the US yields pick up. As the US continues to recover, the USD will increase in value and no one would want to fly to safety - rather investors would want to sell gold and buy income earning assets. Both an increase in the value of the USD and moving from gold to equity is bearish for gold.
At this point in time, who is bullish on gold is bearish on US

I agree with your views. There are many more solid arguments against a bull run ...
